A New Look for SMO!
It is with great pleasure and much excitement that we introduce you to the new look of SMO!
Over the last 18 months we’ve been working to redesign our corporate image and identity to make it more reflective of the various services and products we offer. Many of our clients only know us as a heating oil company, but over the last few decades we’ve grown to include propane and a variety of heating and cooling comfort systems. We continue to bring our clients the very best in green technology for home comfort - offering the most efficient equipment and fuels available.

As part of this redesign, we’ve decided to shorten our name from Southern Maryland Oil to SMO. While our company was founded in the heating oil business and heating oil still accounts for a significant portion of our client base, our propane and full service HVAC offerings make us much more than just an oil company.
While our look is new, our philosophy of serving our clients remains the same as it has for over 85 years. We take pride in providing excellent client service, knowledgeable technicians, and competitive prices.
In the weeks and months to come, we’ll roll out new logos on our vehicles, uniforms, and printed materials.
While the look of SMO is evolving, our commitment to serving clients is only getting stronger…
