Shymansky Tour

In partnership with the College of Southern Maryland, we are proud to operate the Shymansky Institute - located at our corporate headquarters in La Plata, MD.  This unique training facility includes sample models of boilers, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, indoor air quality devices, and water heaters from the top industry manufactures.  Our technicians go beyond just reading textbooks about the equipment and train on actual equipment and we have the ability to modify the equipment to simulate a wide variety of potential breakdowns.

At the Shymansky Institute, our technicians undergo over 3,040 hours of internal training in heating oil, propane, and HVAC system maintenance each year.  Our program is accredited by the state of Maryland and has been honored by the Mid-Atlantic Petroleum Distributors Association.

Upon completion of their training, our technicians receive an Associate of Arts degree.  With such in-depth training, you can be confident that our technicians will be able to provide solutions to any of your home comfort needs.

Our program is so well respected in the HVAC community that many of our competitors train in our facility.  Don’t be surprised if you find their vehicles parked outside the Shymansky Institute - we’re happy to make sure everyone in our industry is learning how to service equipment properly.
