DESERVING HUGHESVILLE FAMILY WINS A YEAR OF FREE HEATING OIL FROM SMO

(LA PLATA, MARYLAND) - October 31, 2011- Daniel Hooton of Hughesville is the recipient of one year of free heating oil from SMO. 
Last Thanksgiving, Hooton’s daughter fell upon hard times and became a single mother of four children.  She struggled to make ends meet and went over a month without any heat in their home at all.  Daniel Hooton and his wife stepped in to help their daughter and began paying for heating oil deliveries to both their home and their daughter’s.

“Just last week we were wondering how we were going to get through the winter.  When we found out we won a year of free fuel, we just looked at each other and my wife cried,” Hooton exclaimed.  “You don’t ever expect that you’ll receive something like this.”

SMO created the Win a Year of Free Fuel contest to celebrate the launch of their new web site, SMOenergy.com.  The web site is an industry first and allows clients to schedule propane or fuel oil deliveries, schedule tune ups, pay their bills, add service agreements, and see their account details directly through the site.  Everyone who created an online account was automatically entered for a chance to win a year of free fuel or one of three iPads that were being given out.
