Converting to a Propane System
Converting from Oil
One option for our clients is to convert from fuel oil systems to a propane system, a much more versatile fuel and offers the very attractive combination of: costing less than fuel oil and working more efficiently. In addition to costing less than fuel oil, its price is also much less volatile, so you won’t see the drastic increases you often see with fuel oil.
Because propane burns hotter and more evenly than many other fuels, appliances powered by propane use less energy and pay for themselves in a shorter amount of time. Propane is one of the most efficient and cleanest fuels around, and with rising fuel oil prices, it is also one of the most economical ways to power your home. Propane offers a more environmentally friendly alternative to fuel oil. In the rare instance when propane leaks, it has no environmental impact as the harmless gas just dissipates into the air.

The Costs of Converting to Propane
Clients converting from fuel oil to propane will receive 70 ft. of inside piping and 35 ft. of outside piping free of charge. We offer up to a $1,000 subsidization of the propane furnace with a 5 year supply agreement and a credit for remaining oil left in your oil tank. In addition, we are happy to assist you in the disposal of your old tank.
Converting from Electricity
Propane offers the attractive combination of costing less than electricity, while at the same time working harder. In particular, propane water heaters provide significant cost savings over electric water heaters. Conventional propane water heaters save 30% versus electric water heaters, tank less propane models save as much as 60% compared to electrical water heaters.

When outdoor temperatures drop below freezing, a heat pump has to use an electric resistance heater as a backup - a very inefficient way to heat a home. Propane does not need electricity to operate, so it’s a great backup fuel for power outages. Additionally, you can fuel your home almost invisibly using underground propane storage tanks. Rising electricity rates make propane the economical choice for powering your home.
